Harbour Ahrenshoop-Althagen
The idyllic harbour of Althagen, a district of Ahrenshoop is home to passenger ships, “zeesen” and fishing boats and a smokehouse.

The Mariners Church Ahrenshoop
Consecrated on 14.10.1951, it is the youngest of the three churches on Darss. It was built according to the architect Hardt-Walther Hämer’s plans as a timber construction with a reed-decked roof reminiscent of an upturned fishing boat, and blending fully into the surrounding landscape.
