The health spa Wieck
‘Naturally Wieck’ - This small, state approved, health resort is situated on the shores of the ‘Bodstedter Bodden’, on the peninsula of Darss. The Baltic Sea beaches are only a few miles away. This former fishing village is characterised by its beautiful thatched roof cottages. The uniqueness and tranquillity of the ‘Bodden’ landscape can be thoroughly enjoyed in Wieck.
Wieck harbour
The small marina at the Bodden blends naturally into the landscape. The mean water depth is about 1,4 meters. There is also a canoeists rest area with 18 moorings.
The Darß Arch
In an annexe, which has been built to ecological standards and is solar powered, the Alte Schule (old school house), houses the ‘Darsser Arch’, the visitors centre of the national park. It is situated in the central market place of the village.

Eco-Village
The community of Wieck promotes the production of health food, advocates healthy eating, and supports ecological and local economical cycles. Representatives of the local government formed a consortium and passed a bill to change Wieck into a Showcase Eco-village.
