To the coast by air

Two airports in the region may become interesting for your holidays.

Ostseeflughafen Stralsund-Barth GmbH

This regional airport just outside the town of Barth offers, above all, sightseeing flights over the unique landscape and the island of Rügen. Planes of up to 100 passengers may land at this airport with its 1450 m landing strip day and night. There is currently no scheduled traffic.

In summer, air shows regularly attract thousands of spectators. Many of the planes take courageous passengers on board or offer parachute jumps to the adventurous.

Airport Rostock Laage

The military airport south of Rostock was partly remodelled and upgraded for civilian air traffic. Scheduled and charter traffic to and from Laage is offered from numerous cities in Germany and abroad.
