Manor houses
Go on a journey into the past of Mecklenburg and Western Pomerania. In many villages, towns and cities there are still manor houses and stately homes.
Zeesen ship regatta
Nowadays zeesen ships are not being used for fishing any more but still have a significant meaning for sports and leisure activities.
After zeesen ships had stopped being used for fishing it was due to Eckard Rammin from Bodstedt that these ships were being retained.
He was the initiator for the first competition, too.
Locations for these kinds of regatta are Bodstedt, Ahrenshoop, Althagen, Wustrow, Dierhagen and Zingst. You can watch smaller wooden boats (Netzboote, Heuer, Polts etc) at the 'kleine Fischländer Wettfahrt' (smaller Fischländer competition) in Wustrow.
It has been a while ago that enthusiasts started to support the demonstration of fishing with zeese ship and zeese in our coastal water.
